gA appoints Alejandra Fehrmann as Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

Miami, September 20, 2016 – The executive will be responsible for a new area of Marketing & Communications in gA (Grupo ASSA), a leading global company in Digital Business Transformation (dBT), which will bring innovation to marketing practices, internal and external communication by integrating digital platforms.

Fehrmann will coordinate gA’s relations with the company’s stakeholders in Latin America and the United States and alliances in Europe and Asia-Pacific. She will be responsible for the development of brand positioning strategies on issues related to Public Affairs.

She will also be in charge of positioning and communications for the gA Center for Digital Transformation created in 2014, which studies the impact of digitization in the region. This open forum between gA, business and academic representatives in Latin America seeks to better understand how the adoption of new digital technologies are changing companies’ management of their business by integrating the Industrial side- digitalization of the complete value chain with the Consumer side.

Alejandra Fehrmann has over 18 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, public affairs and digital marketing in Latin America. Her past experience includes serving as Director of Digital Social Engagement and Internal Communications / Executive for McDonald’s in Latin America and the Caribbean and as Director of Communications for Southern Region and Emerging Markets at Oracle.

Fehrmann has a bachelor’s degree on Social Communication and postgraduate studies in Marketing (Cs Economics Faculty, Córdoba) and Telecommunications (University of Buenos Aires) as well as a specialization in digital themes (UdeSA), Argentina.
