Performance Management is a conceptual approach, a detailed methodology and a set of tools to manage business value and results on an ongoing basis through Performance Models: a set of business indicators linked to strategic goals and action plans to achieve them.
Performance Management includes strategic alignment for the organization’s ongoing performance, and at the same time interacts with elements of the Business Process Transformation Model (BPTM): value management, process management, people management and technology management. Operating a business solely on updated IT does not guarantee the expected levels of performance. Neither a continuous improvement management approach tips the scales in favor of better indicators for such levels of expected performance aligned with the business strategy.
Performance Management includes a business management model designed by gA and known as Performance Model. Following every client’s management model, this structure includes:
- Analytical models measuring business results
- Relationship between elements of the analytical model and key indicators of business processes
- Models that associate indicators to process design from comprehensive to detailed procedures
- Execution plans, improvement and people responsible for managing each process.
A key element, the Performance Board is a Business Intelligence model that measures management progress against plans, and relates top management to the operating reality of organizational processes.
